"DEFINITELY" What was said tonight.

40/50 in attendance. Club representaives,Colin Page,Vicky. Others speaking and answering questions KP.

Believe me we are ALMOST there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think what I say is no secret as was told to others at the meeting.

The agreement with the council for a re-instatement of a temporary pitch has today been signed and sealed, by the council.

Within two to 3 weeks or even sooner movement at Hartsdown park will proceed. This time it has been said that we will "DEFINITELY" be back at Hartsdown ready for playing in conference south next year season 2005/6. I repeat "DEFINITELY".

No two ways about it. No obstacles can be put in our way by council on this! This WILL happen.

We have until end of March to get the re-building started (developers assessment) and this will be done "DEFINITELY" starting very very soon.

Now is the time to pass by the ground on the way to work, on the way home or even just pass by because you will soon see developers moving in "DEFINITELY".

Came away with the most positive vibes that have touched me since that demolition day.

Plans of the "new-ish" temporary ground were on show.

Space where old wooden stand was will be vacant with just the players and officials changing facilities in place.

Opposite(remember the old cow shed) will have a covered seated stand for 500.

Club side will remain mostly as is with slight improvements.

Bottom end will have terracing for 1000.

Pitch to be levelled ALMOST in every part thereof.

Exsisting 6 x 1/2 yr outstanding lease PLUS a further 10 years available.

Should we get to play-offs would then have 12 months to upgrade to conference standard.

Council deem the temporary re-built stadium will be for max, 5000 spectators initially.

Thats it but believe me when I say the the we ARE going back home. We all, I think left with the most positive feelings we have felt for a long long time.

All systems go! go! go! "DEFINITELY"

Someone should give all the staff a medal. Finally the news which puts us on the road back home, and its long overdue. Strangely enough i feel credit must be given to the council. Since the day of the protest the whole situation has changed, EVERYONE who was there that special night should be proud of themselves. We finally have what we want, and what the town deserves, and now may we take this good feeling into the dressing room, out onto the pitch and into many more 3 points before the end of the season.

This could be the start of something beautiful!!! :-)

Must just add that talks concerning the commercial side of things are still on-going but at a pace that wont affect us getting back our ground. Any doubts about Mr. Lever thinking of giving up should be dismissed. He is staying put and is fast becoming a Margate fan himself. He is confident of getting a result concerning the commercial aspects in the very near future hence his recent financial input into the ground re-build.

As far as I could see there is a slight movement but without the drafts in front of me cant remember the true movements and measurements. Pretty sure that it hasn't moved to that degree but I may have that interpretation wrong. The pitch will however be 105m x 64m subject to some slight adjustment. It did look to me like it will be as it was but once again am pretty sure the measurements have changed SLIGHTLY. Maybe someone else who was there can elaborate on that.

The reason I ask is that the Hartsdown Rd terrace and bar could remain as it is. The original plan, I heard, was to erect a temporary stand in front of that while building work was carried out. Its just that it would save money and time!!

In a way, I am quite glad the club side is remaining at the moment, all the hard work MISA put in to the clubhouse, and it feels quite like home as it is. A bit of sprucing up, and it will be fine.

I am so glad we are going home at last. Now we can look to the footy and maybe enjoy it without fear of it ending.

Whilst talking about MISA and I too agree with some others that the "independent" should be dropped, great credit however must go to those running it as they have donated through their hard work, to the club, the total sum of £6,500 to date. Well done to those who have worked hard to get this amount forwarded to the club.

Further news about fund-raising was that the "buy-a-brick" is still and will be attainable and this will help the club in its survival. So get ready to purchase.

Golden Gate lottery also needs more coverage as it now, at the moment, is only running in a break even mode.

Am sure that once reports of the ground going up again then they will almost certainly become more popular again than they seem at the moment. Its the fans that can help here by promoting them and getting people to join as soon as, (or earlier), the builders move in.

Spent my holiday wondering what news I would come back to - this is absolutely brilliant - I think I should holiday more often!
