THE CLOCK IS TICKING!

OK it is superb news that we are going to be back at Hartsdown IN THE NEAR FUTURE but with further delays with TDC sure to be incurred to obtain approval for works to be commenced surely we do not have a cat in hell's chance of starting next season there. (Even Bob The Builder wouldnt come up trumps to such a tight timescale). If this is the case then we will lose our conf status. It is not a pleasant scenario I know but I think it is realistic. Would we have to drop to the Ryman Premier or would we go in Southern Premier? And would we still be able to groundshare at Homelands until sufficient works were completed. I sincerely hope that these problems do not arise but we have to be prepared. God knows we have had so many disappointments during the last few years, guess it makes me more pessimistic than most of the other posters on here!

What are you, some kind of MFC bum-licker? There is no point dropping into the Ryman League. The only answer is to disband the club and for all of us to commit suicide. Take off those rose-tinted spectacles!

Do we know for certain we would lose conf. status.

i suspect not.

It may have applied in conf national where effectively club was under notice accordingly, but am not aware that is the case now.

Maybe a question for somebody to ask tonight to get a definitive answer

Not only would we lose our place in Conference South, the FA would erase all records of our existence. This would culminate with Brian Barwick ritually burning Thanet United programmes.

Ashford groundshare as far as I am aware runs out at close of this season but the news we had lately surely safeguards our status for conference south football. Yes there may be a few things to iron out and they are questions that need asking but with the ground, now not needing so much renovation shouldn't really take as long to build as the original plans. Thats obviously just my opinion as I see it but going tonight might answer some of these questions and rid us of some worries too.
