Thats there proper name, calling them inter milan is just like calling Manchester United - man.u. So basically its their shortened name!

 

(btw thats a guess, not sure if it is correct!)

How come Man Utd haven't got football club on thei badge?

 

Anyway as everyone except GNFC observed (not your fault mate) I was being ironc about the whole "Gravesend FC" thing. I don't know why they have Inter Milan on their badge perhaps its a more recognised shortend name like MK Dons? Not the same scenario of course.

Because as a stipulation of losing to Ipswich in the UEFA Cup, Ipswich got first dibs on what went on the Inter Milan badge. Same thing happened in 1959 when Plymouth beat Grasshoppers of Switzerland and made them change their name to FC Cichadas for the next two seasons...
