I see by the Conference South site that Margate are 2nd in the current form table. Seeing how that all teams, apart from Grays, are dropping points, looking at the table and our form, its not beyond us to actually make the playoffs. There is still 33 points left to gain and who can forget the great run we had to gain promotion to the Southern Premier that year. If money is released to CK and he can get one or two players in, who knows. The thing is what would we do about the ground then if its only Conf South standard? Just a thought to get you thinking. Morning Margateshot.I would think that any advancement up the leagues would depend on the decisions of the council. A firm yes to the commercial could have us upgrading to conference standard though I doubt it will be in time for next year, what with the negative moves by them. Time is an enemy now but just getting back home with conference south standard in the short term is something we are all proberbly happy and content with at this time. So any play-off place would be a waste though if there is any financial gain to be had by being in the play-offs anyway then we should go for it.However for me personnally I would just be happy, for this year, to be guaranteed a position one rung below the conference and have us back home playing next season. I think with the squad numbers CK has had to use he has done magic and under extreme pressure too. We must just concentrate on avoiding any drop rather than reaching the play offs this year. No point in getting the groung up to shape for this standard if we fail to maintain our status. Consolidate to progress next year I think.

Agree with Anon. We will finish mid table, despite the fact that CK has been performing miracles. We would need a super miracle to finish in a play off position.

 

Let's concentrate on getting 10 more points, which should be more than sufficient to avoid the drop. Go for it next season.
