Either Hornchurch or Bishops Stortford I think. Would hope the venue is local or midway between both teams mind. Wouldn't make any sense to have a Slough Hampton final and then hold it in Essex.

I heard from a very reliable source, that it was Stortford, Herts. Agree that it would make sense to have a Slough / Hampton final at somewhere like Kingstonian, but Braintree v Chelmsford, well Stortford as a venue,would be convinient, about 1/2 hour away for both clubs.

 

Essex v Hampton or Slough, best place - what about Cheshunt. (Joking Koc.)

It's been on a Bank Holiday Monday in May in recent seasons I believe.

What after the Play off Finals as Tuesday May 3rd is Semi's, surely you can't play it on BH Monday 2nd May. 24 hours before a possible play off semi. Or do you mean the last week of May?

 

and the 30/04 is the last day of the league season.

We had a similar problem last season.

 

Had we made the Berks & Bucks final and the playoffs we would have had two games on the same day and we were told that we would not be able o move any of them. The Berks & Bucks FA also saud that they would investigate any team not fielding its strongest side.

Ah but Mal the Berks and Bucks FA is crap and you think the Ryman League would be able to sort it so its League Cup final did not clash with its play-offs. Having said that they made a right pigs ear of the play-offs last year anyway.

Mind you, that could work in our favour if we got to the final say against Braintree, as they'd surely field a weakened side against us in the final, meaning we'd have a bit more chance of silverware! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

 

Seriously though, I would like to think that the venue of the final would and could be negociated if either us or Hampton made the final against an Essex side. Having said that, not sure who picks up the expenses tab when games are played at a neutral venue as it's usually the home side. Mark, any idea?

7. In all rounds prior to the semi-final and the final the gate receipts will be shared equally between the two competing clubs, after the deduction of match expenses. In the Semi final and final, one third of the nett receipts of each match will be paid to the funds of the league,the remaining two thirds to be divided equally between the competing clubs.

I would read into this, that it is paid out of the Leagues fund, would you not agree?

Of the net receipts though would indicate to me, the expenses of both sides (coach travel) and match officials would be deducted before the amount is split.
