This is to announce that Saturday 4th June 2005 is the date for the 9th annual Supporters 5-a-side competition which will be held at Wivenhoe Towns Broad Lane Ground.

 

In 2004 29 teams competed for the trophy, which was won by Hertford Town , beating AFC Sudbury 1-0 in the final.

 

The competition keeps on going from strength to strength and following last years publicity we received in the Non League Paper we fully expect this year to fill all 36 available places.

 

The cost of entry has yet again been kept too just £25.

 

The competition is a fun event exclusively for supporters of all standards (and shapes), and under no circumstances are any registered members of the supported clubs playing staff to be used.

I doubt we would be allowed to enter more than one team?? Although I havn't read the details so maybe I'm wrong.

 

If only one team is allowed we should have a tournament amongst ourselves with the winners going to Wivenhoe. Ooooh the excitment!

Just enter the one team and go mob handed, it's a much harder game to play.

the injury list we had at work during a 3 month tournament was shocking...
