Technical People - Please Help!!

I've downloaded a couple of fonts from the internet, but need to know how to install them.

 

They appear to be zipped Excel files.

 

Now, assuming I can upzip these okay (which isn't a foregone conclusion knowing my technical knowledge), what do I do next??

What is the file extension of the font files?

 

Normally, you go to "Control Panel - Fonts and do "Install New Font".

The usual fonts on a PC are so small in size, I can't understand why all these downloaded ones have been compressed.

 

Normally if I want to use a font on my home PC which I only have at work, I'll just copy it onto a floppy disk.

Zealster, fonts that include oriental characters can be gigantic (think Chinese type writer!) Send me a link where you got the fonts from and I'll take a look.

 

AFF, "fount" is the original word. Think printing and a certain Mr Caxton. I'd be happy to discuss the history of "founts" with you next time you attend and away game.

Actually, I've found the same font on another website in .TTF format, so have downloaded that instead!!
