What's the chances of the match going ahead? With the weather looking like it's going to be very cold all day tomorrow, will there be an early pitch inspection?

Duno but the last time the game was called off at the last minute against bracknell last season we got a loada free food so its all gud.

If it's a sunny (so far) day like to day the pitch might freeze. If it's a snowy day the pitch wil cut up so who knows!

Well if the weatherman can be believed we are going to be getting snow..... but that obviously is a huge IF!

Not really up to THE REF.

Slough can call upon a local ref, of the appropriate standard, to come down and look at the pitch early if they want.

They don't have to wait for the allocated referee.

That is unless the rules have changed.

Wouldn't you have to pay the local ref?

 

And is it worth it in these changable weather conditions

If I remember correctly a referee can claim £10 per ground he checks.
