Always difficult when you are up against a team who have come for a 0-0, get 10 behind the ball and start playing for time in the first half. A great result for the Saints, even though at times, it was not that pretty to watch. All in all a very gutsy performance all round and an absolutely blinding save from Bazza in the second period.

 

According to some sources in the division, 48 points may be required to avoid the drop zone. I make that 4 wins needed from the final 11 league games. Our last 10 league games have produced 7 wins and a draw. This is on.

 

More of the same at Basingstoke on Saturday, please.

Yes, once we got the goal things improved. It was funny when, after the goal, their goalie was cheered/jeered for running after the ball so he could take his goal kick ASAP, whilst previous to that he had been taking his time and just generally time-wasting.

 

I thought Beech was unlucky to be booked as soon as he came on. All he did was stand directly in front of the player whilst he was taking a throw in - this seems to happen alot in the Premiership without players getting booked. I didn't like their number 10 - what a Geoffrey!

 

A welcome three points though - bring on Basingstoke!!
