Tuesdays Weather

With the risk of everyone telling me to wait till tomorrow or look out of my window, what chance is there of tomorrows game with AFC Wimbledon happening. What's the weather like at the moment - has it been freezing at night?(in Brighton we've had two flakes of snow so far).

I'm going straight from work on the train and won't be able to check the web and want to try and avoid a wasted journey.

Any thoughts?

Currently cold here but no sign of snow. YET.

There was a very light flurry of snow as I went to work this morning - a sort of blink and you'll miss it affair. Right now there an even spread between cloud and blue sky, so not likely to snow in the next few hours. It did look a bit more menacing this morning though

I live in Langley, Slough, and the car not been frosty in the morning for about a week. Sunny as I write this, although cold. Had very brief snow showers, but nothing thats laying. Snow showers forecast for tomorrow, but I reckon it'll be on.

Suns out in Slough at the moment, but it was damn cold last night. If it rains in between, I'd check with Windsor as you set off BR, but if there's no rain, it should be fine, just a little cut up.

Any bad weather tommorow and i'd hope the ref would use common sense and call the game off as the pitch is starting to struggle imo

the only problem is we're running out of free days to play and any extra pile ups would mean games being played on a thursday as well as tuesday and wednesday. Best to get it out of the way

I know you've not got alot of 'space' left but if the pitch was risked under bad conditions i'm sure it wouldn't be the only game called off

There's a difference to cutting the pitch up more by playing on it and it being unsafe though. At present, it's cut up a lot, but certainly playable. As I said earlier, unless there is rain between now and then, there should be no reason why it doesn't go ahead.

The forcast for tonight is more snow with "moderate accumulation" which i think means its going to settle! More worrying is the forecats for temperatures of -1 Cent for tonight and tommorow night. Sorry Brighton but I think you need to find a way to check tommorow, or call the clubhouse before you leave

Don't know what it's like in Slough, but in Bracknell the snow has settled quite heavily on the grass. If it is anything like this at Stag Meadow my inclination at this point would be to expect the game to be off. However, don't take this as any kind of gospel truth, just a personal observation.
