Dorchester Town v Hornchurch - Saturday

On Saturday we are away to Dorchester Town.

Following our dissapointing defeat at home to Welling on Saturday, a good healthy away support would encourage the players on the pitch to bouce back in style.

If you are intending to travel west on Saturday, then hopefully we can answer a few questions to make your trip an enjoyable one smile.gif

The supporters club is running a coach to Dorchester, which will be departing at 9am sharp (please meet at 08:45) - there will be a stop enroute at prices are Adults £15, Children £5. Please call 0704 330 2626 to book your seat(s).

Admission prices are Adults - £8 - OAP's/ Children - £4, with programmes at £2.

At Dorchester the bar is accessed through the main entrance at the front of the stadium, It is not possible to gain access to the bar before the match once you have paid to go into the stadium.

Access to the stand for supporters is by ticket only. Tickets can be purchased from the ticket office at the front of the stadium. Admission to the terraces is still by cash through the turnstiles.

Dorchester's Forum can be found here and their website here

We are expecting cold weather this week - if there is any change to any of the arrangements, then I will let everyone know - but let's hope that it is all systems go on Saturday, and that we can return to Essex with a positive result.

I have added a summary of the info above, along with a map and directions to http://www.hornchurchfc.com/travel/dorchester.shtml

I have visited recently. The bar is on the small side and even if you can get in there at half time, it is cups of tea only. The ground is on a roundabout adjacent to Tesco's. Carry straight on past Tesco's toward the town and on your right is the station and a huge pub. Pool tables, reasonable beer and if you like the Irish nectar, a wonderfull bottle of 'Power's Gold' whiskey sits on the top shelf awaiting your undivided attention. (Taken neat or with one cube of ice only please - heathens!).

Car park reasonable size at the pub too. 15 minute walk from ground or perhaps coach could drop off the early comers at the ground and take the reprobates to the pub? Enjoy. Sing your hearts out and will 3 points our way please.

No - the game should be fine - any change to that I will post - but expect the game to go ahead.

If anyone still wishes to go and support the team - please call 0704 330 2626 to book your seats - there are still one or two seats available - let's get a good crowd down there - and have a great day out...
