Arrogant Arsenal (Part 358)

Recommended Posts

I was greeted at work this morning by my Arsenal-supporting boss with delight at how Chelsea were dumped out of the Cup yesterday, and as a consequence, Arsenal's name must surely be on the trophy this season.

Dear, oh dear. I had to remind him that his beloved Woolwich couldn't even finish off a Division One side at Highbury on Saturday, so what on earth makes him think that they are the automatic choice for 2005's FA Cup winners.

Of course, we had similar trouble yesterday at White Hart Lane against Forest. A terrible game, and I can only apologise to Gertcha and Thornsy for having put them through it. On behalf of Timmy Atouba, of course.

Confident we'll win the replay mind you, though he must start with Mido and Defoe up front. Thought Carrick had a good game yesterday, mind. The only one, though. Even the normally reliable King and Robinson fked up for the Forest goal.

Roll on 1.30pm!!

Numbers for this lunchtime's draw...

1 Bolton Wanderers

2 Tottenham Hotspur or Nottingham Forest

3 Manchester United

4 Leicester City

5 Burnley or Blackburn Rovers

6 Southampton or Brentford

7 Newcastle United

8 Arsenal or Sheffield United

Now that Chelsea have gone, there's no-one there that concerns me too much. Don't particularly want to go to Highbury or O.T., but would happily draw Woolwich or Man Utd at home.

Yeah, Newcastle's a tough draw, though we beat them up there earlier in the season. Mind you, got to get past Forest first!

Still in the running for a UEFA place though, especially if the FA Cup Finalists come from the Top 6, meaning a UEFA place will go to the team finishing 7th.

Fulham at home on Saturday. Got a crap record against them recently (and every other London team!) but fancy Mido to get a couple!
