Coach Saturday

I know we have AFC Wimbledon Tuesday, but Saturday there's going to be 2 coaches going to Gravesend. Would be great if we could take lots away, so if you have not already get your name down for the coach!

To do that, I would expect the Trust to lower the price of the coach with either the support of the club or off their own back to encourage people to travel to the match, but I think it's standard prices which is a touch disappointing.

Are the coaches fully booked or are spaces still available?

 

Hoping to book 2 seats Tuesday night.

As of Saturday the 2nd coach was about half full I think, so assuming it's a 'normal size' coach that's about 25 seats spare. Don't take my word for it though.

How many do you think will make their own way down? Could there be a need for a 3rd coach?

It would be lovely to think so - this posting by Chris was a good idea. Doubt it though, and I don't know how late the club could leave it before booking a third coach.

 

If we have a guaranteed 70-75 going to Gravesend already I'd love to think we'd take 200-300 overall.

Didn't realise the second coach was already filling up. Sounds promising though for a good turnout from our lot (as usual!!)

It will be good to see you all down here I hope you bring a few will create a great atmosphere.

If the game is segregated you will be on the terrace to the left as you look at the ground from the road which is entered by going through our car park which is known as the bus graveyard as you will see saturday.

If it's segregated there is no clubhouse for you to use but I can recommend the Plough pub just outside the ground near the roundabout.

When the draw was made somebody on the Gravesend forum did say there would not be segregation. However, this was before the stand was closed so that may have changed a few things

If it is the pub that I think it is then no. Or at least it didn't on my last visit. We went for a midweek game and were bloody starving when we got there. Advised to go to a nearby pub and they looked at us like we were mad when we asked if they served food. Ended up getting some grub from a nearby petrol station. Was a good few years ago mind.

There is a large Kebab/chip shop up the hill, and the tea bar for the away supporters does a lovely hot roast pork sarni,far better tea stall than the one up our end, i would be very surprised if the game isnt segragated, and the bar open for away fans but you never know, just check before at the main turnstiles on the road, because once you go in through the away end you wont be allowed back out to the pub and back in again. The plough is where all away supporters go before the game.The station is only 5 mins walk away and there is plenty of parking around the ground.See you on saturday

Up Fleet, to follow on from Charlie's point, is there any grassy area nearby for a pre match kick about as a lot of us like to have a game if the coach arrives early.

I seem to recall the ground being in the midst of an industrial estate so I would think not.....
