It's a tough one but....

you've watched good football for 4 years and watched your team rise through the leagues...you've been paid for most of the work you have done at the stadium and the first time we get a real shafting you run off whinging...

fickle IS the right word...

when the going gets tough...the tough get going.....

in your case ten minutes early....

You can't say fickle. I have been here since that day in November where others have not, I have followed the Urchins away most games, where others have not and I've been there when we've lost. I'm as much of a fan as anyone who stands on those terraces and to call me fickle cos I walked out of the ground 10 minutes before the end? Tsk.......

and paid? Since When. I have never been paid. What I do, is for the club. Whether its in the turnstyles, the programs or ball boy. (Pig being the only exception there cos hell you wouldn't get me doing that for free )

what November is that then PM...is that all you want to nail your mast to...the clubs been here for 80 years.......now I don't want to start an open forum argument PM but do you really not recall the money that you have received off me and the club for some of your endeavours....or do you need me to post it on here and remind you...its all recorded....

now leave it and stop whinging.....we got beat by a much better team by all accounts....it happens from time to time...the team need support through the bad times....not just the good times....

you'll get over it but learn not to run away and spit your dummy out....one day in the real world you won't be able to run away...

you'll have to stay and fight it out...

and you could have also left all 65 yearly games early as well if we'd lost....

that would be 65 x 24 = 1,560 x ten minutes saved = 15,600 minutes of urchin football missed.....

howe could you....

if we'd lost them all of course...!!

PM

Hello mate, first of all thanks for what you have done and particularly today when you were the first gateman there.

Your support has been great mate and I appreciate the banter on the site.

We are all disappointed and will look to next season now whilst rebuilding this, that's the way I see it so please carry on the good work you do.

cheers

I was at your match with Hendon last season and you were absolutely dire. No passion, no effort, truly terrible. Seem to remember leaving ten minutes early then!!

Think you're being a bit harsh Unc. I know we should all stay to the end and get behind our team no matter what but I think even the most loyal fans have walked out before the end in disgust at a team's performance.

After our miracle comeback against Port Vale a few seasons ago I vow never to leave early but even I've been known to walk out in frustration. I did last season against Sutton because I was so frustrated I was worried I was going to get violent!!

A few weeks ago I walked out after the third goal went in against Dagenham. I was disgusted that after paying my train fare down there(which isn't cheap) plus my admission fee that the Canvey team could put in such a spineless performance with little passion.

I vowed to boycott away games and had a real rant on our forum but here I am just got back from Hereford, another defeat but a decent performance.

I think PM has said things in the heat of the moment and in frustration. He'll be back next week to support the team and at the end of the day that's all that matters. It's the ones that don't come back who are the fickle ones.

PM no need to broadcast what you do for the club! Why was you not there until the end? we had a good sing song then! I ripped the old steward jacket off and sang my heart out for those lad's on the pitch, with the other Eastside disco boogiers until the end. Lets face it mate, they need our support more now than ever before! see u on the pitch tomorrow matey!
