Quiz night

Kept up our record of never finishing outside the top two, although could (and probably would) have been better if there had been a decent last round!

How did Junior manage to make such a mess of the raffle? That said, I also won a raffle prize - mine was on a "dark" pink ticket.

On a serious note, thanks to everyone who made it happen. I've run dozens of quizzes myself in the past and know how much effort goes into them. They ain't as easy as they look to those who just have to turn up and answer the questions.

Just a suggestion I ran past old Arky tonight...

How about we get 8 local clubs (ETFC, EFC, PBTFC, Abbey, etc. etc.) to form a quiz team each and to hold a quiz night every month of the season (Sep-Apr) on, say, the first Friday of each month with each club taking it in turns to host. There could be a prize for the winners of each quiz plus an overall prize for the team that does best over the entire season (i.e all eight quizzes combined).

I would just like to say that the best team won on the night and that was mine!!!

A fix I hear! At no time did we bring in anyone after the deadline - pure skill!

Well done to all who worked so hard to make the night enjoyable for over 120 people.

Someone did tell me that Chopper's daughter answered most of the questions for the players! Can someone tell me whether this is true?

As for the last round on 'who am I'. Did you not feel for Eric, our quizmaster, who read out the first clue of five only to be showered with 15 answer papers - all correct.

It's a cracking idea, obviously the Town will pay for a professional Quiz Team to represent us while the rest of you will all be doing it for the love of your club!.
Seriously though, would any other local clubs be interested in having a quiz league????
