Is this what is required by August?

If anyone goes to Weston next week, there is a good example of how to build a basic and cheap ground in an open field quite quickly and at reasonable cost.

Its basic but functional and imo acceptable as a start.

Go to news and click on new ground.

One new terrace behind goal, rest is open and 'temporary' seating areas(the bus stop) leave something to be desired, but at least its a ground of their own, that can be developed further as funds allow.

Imagine that with the existing Hartsdown road terrace and we'd have something decent

Hope to be there next week to see 3 more points for the Gate

I think that the work listed is what Lewes need to bring their ground up to the standard required for promotion. All you need to do initially is have a ground suitable for Conference South standard, which doesn't (I believe) include segregation. So you should be able to get the ground that you need for the start of next season, and then add to it as you progress.

Sorry people. David is correct. I have obviously mis-read the article and indeed the improvements Lewes seek are indeed for FULL conference approval.Apologies. Its obvious that Lewes already have a ground fit for conf.south as they are already playing in this league and I really dont know how I got to put my question in the first place. Must be the strain of everything. Thats my excuse anyway and I am sticking to it!

[color:"blue"]To be honest the standards needed for Conference South are pretty basic ... sorry Redbridge, but that's a very small, basic ground. Also - if you take away the lovely main stand -Ashford's ground is a couple of bike sheds and some hard standing.
