A simple Question....................

zody

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately Zody it seems to be a fact of life there are those that are willing to step up to the plate, do all the work and take no thanks and there are those that sit back, and criticise.

Unfortunately, those that sit back usually claim to know all the answers will be very voiciferous in making suggestions, but do nothing to deliver them. They expect others or "the club" to carry them through

Then when we do suffer a visit from the screw-up fairy (it happens to the best of us and is more likely if its the same people doing all the jobs), they are the first to start throwing dung balls about and taking the glass elevator to the moral high ground.

If we keep put things on other threads this will slip down the list.

Forgot all about them. Stansted by the way...never had much to pick you up on! The footballing world must be littered with such balls ups. Not as good as Ashley Giles and the King of Spain though...quality! Going slightly off tack, I remember about four years ago when Worksop (?) were drawn away to Forest Green in the Trophy and both coaches ended up in Forest Green....a village outside Dorking and missed the match!

You would have thought at least one person might have sussed it out by the time they had reached the M25!!

I remember a possibly apocryphal tale about Witton Albion visiting the real Dagenham for a midweek F A Trophy replay, and waking up on the coach home to find themselves in Norwich rather than Northwich.

And even further off topic, Mariah Carey's reaction to being told that the King of Jordan had died was to burst into tears saying what a great man he had been, such a good friend and one of the greatest basketball players the world had ever seen.

The urban myth, or so it is said, that has always tickled me was when Wales played a friendly in Madrid and Cliff Jones had his case with his name on it. Middle name Owen, therefore C O Jones...which in Spanish is Bo**ocks. According to the legend the Guardia Civil were not best pleased.

Even if the story is a load of old cojones, the thought of it is enough to make one smile.
