Nothing to do with the signals. The bridges might still be labelled under an older setup. However, the signalling, which has been renewed in recent years, will be set up according to which signal box is responsible. Each signal has a number, in the area we are talking about, it will be either LB or NK. In terms of my 'tracking maps' that I can use to find where a train is on this p.c., Woolwich Arsenal is the last station in the DT (Dartford) area.

For postal regions no, it's still Kent. Technically though, yes. Hence 'The London Borough of Bexley'. It's all to do with council boundaries. There has been talk again recently of extending the London boundaries to include Dartford.

Chatham, Gillingham, etc. are in the local authority known as Medway (seperate from Kent County Council these days) but nobody would claim these towns not to be in Kent, would they?

Thats as a county needs more then a few towns and villages to be called a county. But if they arent then that would stop gillinghams move because you cant really swap counties can you?

Medway isn't a county but an independent, administrative, council tax charging authority, seperate from Kent County Council but STILL IN KENT.

No, it's a 'county' competiton, run by the Kent FA, therefore open to all 'full members' of the FA. Gillingham have, I believe in the past, entered the competition as have Charlton despite being a 'London' club. However, they now see it as a very, very minor competition, so not worth entering.
