Do you think the guy that shut our stand could be a Scullywag.Enough conspriacy stories going around to start a bonfire that would keep him busy doing what he is paid for.

You want a conspiracy???? Here's one!
An American Sattelite flew over the ground, the CIA agent who looked at the photos is anti-Bush. He sent the photos to Chirac, who hates the British. Chirac sent the photos to the Safety Officer who had nothing to do, so he closed the Northfleet End.....................Or was the Safety Officer who is supposed to do random Checks do his job and find it unsafe and close it??????...........Naw that is too tame!

Future of the Stand appears to be in jeopardy. Club cannot afford improvements and leaving the stand closed indefinitely looks the likeliest option. Shame as it appears that the club aren’t in a position now to fund such a building project and the possibility of doing so in the near future looks unlikely.

Not being funny though but surely all your supporters could fit in the one stand? Some may say that they could even squeeze into the dugout.

My guess is that if we are not permitted to undertake temporary repairs that the full works will not be carried out until the season has finished. Just think back to the recent past and recall how long it took the club to repair holes in the roof over the terrace! This could cause us problems were we to,say, progress to the Quarter Finals of the FA Trophy and draw a very well supported Conference side at home. However, if the works will include installing crash barriers, I doubt that it would be finished in time even if we were able to start within a couple of weeks . I also imagine that this was an expense that, while contemplated, was expected to be put off indefinitely. Recent mention of turning full time, while still unlikely in the near future, must now be even further on the horizon since the Fire Brigade report was delivered . kmj.

To be honest, I was surprised at how empty the place looked, even with the Fleet end closed... Still, with only a thousand or so at the match, I guess it looked 'normal'... I was sure there would of been more, especially as it was Liam's 1st home match and a win was more than possible...!!

Maybe the Reporter should produce a £2 off entry coupon in the paper to attract more local supporters..???...!!

I was also thinking of Carlisle when I posted my previous message. I also took into account ( the admittedly far fetched scenario I know ) that the local population might experience one of those rare occasions when they realise that they have a half decent club on their doorstep (aka jumping on the bandwagon)such as experienced v Villa and Canvey in the Pre Conference days who could be on the verge of winning something. At least I wasn't far out in my assessment of the timetable to do the repair work or the possibility of a temporory respite from the total ban on the use of the terrace. kmj.
