Northfleet Stand SHUT

A few questions on this: How regular are these inspections? Has that part of the stadium deteriorated recently or has it been like this for years? Would Gravesham Council have any part to play in ordering or overseeing this?

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but it just strikes me as a bit odd that at the same time you are having aggro with the council, part of the ground gets closed.

I must admit, whilst standing on the terrace I was hauled over onto my backside when we scored against Notts County, and I wasn't drunk! I wasn't hurt but I could have been. It could be that better stepping and barriers may have prevented it and it could have also prevented the geezer in front of me trying to hug and kiss me!

reading on the inside cover. aldershot have had fund given to them from trust that helps out grounds.

why dont the club try that.

I believe the club did that when we first got promoted.

And yes like others I am very cynical of why we fail an inspection now..

Anyway with crowds of just over a thousand , we only need 3 sides open anyway. But it did always make me laugh that little kids had to have the tops taken off coke bottles in case they were thrown on the pitch when at the Northfleet end, theres always been large lumps of terrace that could have been used far more effectively.

Perhaps the local authorities should be made aware of every dodgy kerb stone, uneven pavement, broken steps and rough cobbled surface in the borough if the age and state of The Fleet's older terrace is not up to safe public usage.
