On a similar tack, what about this scenario then.

Teams A, B and C are battling for the title.

Team B play a league game away from home and win say 2-1.

It is then discovered, that there was a slight problem with one of team B's players, who according to the county was not suspended, but the League say he was.

To avoid too much of a bruhaha, the transgressing side get a mandatory fine (under the cost of a round of drinks) and are told to play the game again.

Come last game of the season and the game is replayed. Now team B need to win by 2 clear goals to overtake teams A and C to win the title.

The result is plain to see so how was justice done or not done?
