This is what the Franborough manager had to say about Big Bucks

But Austin revealed that the signing that broke the budget on Friday afternoon was one which did carry an element of risk, having never actually seen him play.

The boss explained: “Bertie was signing at two minutes to three and I didn’t even know the kid until half past two.

“I’d heard good things about him, agreed a deal on the phone with him and had to take a gamble. If it hadn’t been that we would have only had 15 players out there with the injuries we have got.

“I thought Bertie was our best player on Saturday. He was very lively, showed some great touches and has got into it straight away.”

Speaking straight after the game, Brayley said: “I only met the lads on the day and just went out there to try and fit in and tried my hardest.

“Joining Farnborough was no big decision for me. The manager has got a very good playing career record and it’s good to work under people who have played the game at the highest level.

“I dropped out of League Two a couple of years ago to join Canvey Island and I dropped down too far. Now it’s a case of testing myself and making a step back up in the Conference because I know I can do it.

“All I can guarantee to the fans is that I will give 120 per cent every game, I will try my best to get on the end of things if it comes to me and if the chances come then I will take them.”

I suppose BBBB is laughing all the way to the bank.

Add try and dribble past half the opposition, completely ignoring his teammates in an attempt at scoring goal of the century, swearing alot, having an attitude that I'm bigger than this club and generally not fulfullling the talent that he has.

Give 120% frankly when I was him play for Heybridge at our gaff he gave about 20% if that and the only running he did all day was probably afterwards to get to the bank to cash his 500 quids worth of beer vouchers

If he was their best player than they must all be really fuking [censored] as frankly Danny Hockton has more talent in his [censored] up knee then that little Baso chav has

Nice to know our money was appreciated then!

Won't forget that one in a hurry BBBB!

Bertie had NO club at the time and Farnborough took him out of desperation.
Dean Austin admits he hadn't seen him play.

I wonder if he will ever "drop down" to Earth.

But I wish him well, nice lad.
