Aylesbury Res 1-3 Slough Res

Seedel put us one up in the first half and Miller went off after landing badly after being tackled with a suspect collar bone break or dislocation.

Triallist Daniel McCann scored a decent second goal shooting across goal on the volley leaving the keeper with no chance in an impressive debut for the club midway through the second half, before they pulled one back after what appeared to be a mistake by Parkin.

Own goal for the third as their defender poked home into his own net under pressure having threatened to do it earlier, he went one step better this time.

Seedel hit the bar in the last minute as well in a decent encounter, and a good match between the two sides.

Line Up:

Parkin, Kassim, Lovegrove, Hodges, L Mason, Wilkinson (Shepherd 45), McCann, Miller (J Mason 30), Seedel, Hakki, Adam ?? (Radders friend)

Wilko was stretching after about 15 minutes whilst Leigh Mason was getting treated following on from a nasty looking tackle. Both of them did quite well though and Wilko put in a few 'tester' tackles to see how the legs were I think and came out unscathed.

Adam Paget, used to work with him at Lego, had another decent game. Thought the trialist (McCann) did alright, had some tricks and pace and scored a very good goal. Wilko was brilliant and good to see Shep back in action. For me though the stars were Hodges and Lovegrove who I thought were excellent in central defence, probably the best game I've seen Lovegrove have for the ressies, good news if we need to put him in the squad at anytime soon.

Spent the last ten minutes speaking with Wilko and the Milf in the stand, they really do both think that they are comedy gods <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> although I'm not so sure myself. Matty is hopeful that it will only be a couple of weeks although it won't be helped if he keeps laughing like tonight, everytime he did he had the same pained expression as when I crushed Kirby's ribs the other night.

Decent game and good laugh with the Aylesbury players, normally it's only the goalie who gets in on the 'high-class' banter but tonight during some long injury hold-ups the whole of their backline was having a good laugh, especially at the ref who, let's just say, had issues.

See everyone Saturday for another lovely trip to Essex. HEAVEN!!!!!

McCann is a striker according to Roy but he started on the left with Seedel and Miller up front then changed when Miller went off. Mets ban starts in the AFC game so he's available Saturday. Also found out that Saulsbury is one yellow away from a suspension and we really don't need to lose any more defenders.

so whats the chances of this trialist getting signed up? he sounds quite good, and if he can play on the left as well as upfront then it sounds like a reasonable signing. i take it that if we bought him in now he would be elgible to play in the cups if needed?
