Romford chucked out of Cup?

My post about an invoice was tongue in cheek (the puctuation marks after the comment prove that). I have made a valid point that we will loseout on income. As I have stated elsewhere, there is nothing that can be done, I accept that but it is still a valid point.

Sory to join the fray late. Haven't stopped laughing at romford' misfortune all day. Shame nothing left for Saturday though.

I don't understand the fuss about the very valid point about lost gate receipts, etc. Game is played over two legs and each side keeps its own takings, despite incurring costs on both days. Romford got and keep their money while Town don't get any, through absolutely no fault of their own. Fair?

I had hoped that the cautions wouldn't stand; apparantly they do. I bet Cowley's a bit pissed off with his team mate!

I'd like to think that Romford fans have been pretty controlled, or did they think they had little chance on Saturday?

Cannot see that one washing. Look, I have no problem with being removed from the cup, not happy, but it's not exactly a life-changing experience (apart from one thing, AbbeyNut??????).

But it is all the differing laws/rules that are so frustrating. We ALL (well mostly apart from the odd FIFA trial or if video technology comes in) play or watch a game which abides by the same set of laws. But it is off-the-field events which stick in the craw.

At our level, a player gets days and not matches for a red and collection of yellows, which is something I understand that most county FAs are loathe to change. More work for them, who knows?

We had one player sent off back in '94 in the ESL, got the 35 days and because of bad weather, never missed a match! Now that is not fair either way.

Even this competition, of which we are now not a part, has differing rules/laws as you progress.

They may have changed slightly since '94 but go something like this. Up to and not including the semis, you can sign a player on the day to play in said cup. However, come the semis and any player on the park, must have appeared in at least two league games (something we fell foul of then, and nearly repeated the dose two years later).

And I do believe the League vet the squads before the final itself.

It is things like this that really p!ss people off. More commonly known as 'refereeitis', or colloquially as inconsistency.
