Romford chucked out of Cup?

Please have a heart and say Removed instead of chucked.

It has been confirmed on our website and were all dissapointed, but hey these things happen. Our Chairman has taken responsibility but you sometimes wonder why, when this thing happens the player himself does not understand.

Even when I played Sunday Mornings, I knew what competition I was playing in.

Oh well, better take my water pistol back to the shop, I was looking forward to a head to head with Junior!

How are gate receipts splits worked out now?

I don't want to sound nasty but this [****!!****] up by Romford will cost ETFC a good sum of money in the loss of gate receipts, 50/50 tickets and other merchandising. I take it an invoice for this loss of revenue will be sent to Romford Boro FC!!!

When the "mistake" came to light, did the FA automatically throw Romford out of the cup, or did they consult ETFC and the League and ask if they wanted Romford thrown out?

From what I have seen/read, the player was only used in the 1st leg of the quarter-final, and was not involved in any other games for Romford. So therefore, it seems to be a genuine mistake and Romford were not trying to cheat in any way. Therefore, throwing them out of the competition altogether seems highly unnescessary, considering they have progressed this far in the cup purely on merit, as opposed to using illegitimate players to give them an "advantage"...

Rules are rules I guess and some clubs do deliberately use players they know shouldn't play - but common sense should prevail in a situation like this.

So no one loses points either from league games where genuine mistakes are made, great news.

Do you seriously think the opposition should be consulted, what do you think they would say? Oh yes we want to play them cos we need the money, bang lose 2-0, chance of a final gone another semi with money.......er boing boing boing
