I think 'firmly on our side' would be expecting too much, but some good will, facilitating, and positive assistance would now be good.

But to keep Conference level for our club (because no way is our team going to be relegated)! And to build for a better future! And to reward KP and Directors and Club Officials and Chris and the players and the supporters for hanging on in there! And if I put any more exclamation marks in you will all be taking the you know what out of me, but how else can I express what a wondrous thing this is?

Chatham Gary thanks but again I have done nothing that others havent done. Besides this news has nothing to do with me or the fans. It is a decision that none of us could have influenced. This is a jesture by a Mr. Lever and as at this time in proceedings it is only HIS kind words and his belief that should be praised. A hollow victory may be upon us but its the council that I would like to see going along with this man in his beliefs. Only then could all of us fans say that we have achieved our aims.

We are ALL going to games wishing and hoping, supporting a club we love and generally backing the directors etc but its Mr.Lever who has give us the renewed hope today.

Having re-read the statement, Gary Lever (who IS London & Margate Dev Co) and the joint venture partner, have agreed with MFC an "in principle" agreement and have informed the Council of that agreement. Does that sound about a fair interpretation?

Whatever, as long as the ground gets approval!!

Am not trying to put our great elated feelings down here but I personnally have always said that when the bulldozers move in is time that I really shout from the rooftops. Maybe even with this fantastic news I am still a little cautious.Still going to the match tonight with feelings like I have never felt for a long long while. Elated!

great news but wont it mean putting in more plans and architect drawings to the council as the excisting ones will not suffice. or will be just using the excisting plans.! not sure where we stand on this though know doubt this has been thought of already.

Looks like others apart from me just cannot 100% take in this great news. Some of us are still looking for those "catches" and wondering what could stop this from happening. It surely must go with the experiences we have endured from the past. Some may just believe and stick with it but others, like me are still slightly concerned.Dont forget we have been here a lot of times before only to have our hopes dashed. Am just keeping my personal feet on the ground here. Am still joyous today, moreso than in the past nevertheless.

Ezekiel has said on numerous occasions Geoff that if we had the brass to build it could be done immediately. Cant see how he could go back on his word now that that has materialised. Maybe he didnt think someone would be so bold as to actually go through with it.

Good on Mr.Lever, thats what I say.

Im sorry i cant believe it. The council have made it so clear they need a business plan and this isnt 1 so i dont c that this is any good news. Once the council agree then we know its real

Thanet Bloody Council don't need a business plan for the Stadium only. Planning permission was granted over two years ago. The money is there and work will start soon. Lets see the Council then blocking the hotel complex. ( as if Margate has so many quality hotels left)
