Our home fixture Vs Wealdstone has been moved to Easter Friday 3pm.

I'm happy with this. Got a wedding reception on the Saturday and I don't have to rush around!!!

Running a football club is not about individuals.

 

It's about doing what's right for the Club, a Friday Fixture gives us no local competition for gate (I Hope), and England play Saturday 3pm kick off.

It gives us an extra day to rest and/or prepare for Chelmsford.

 

To play Friday is the right choice.

That's easier said than done. I had to miss our FA Cup game with Southend last season because I was on holiday. I was absolutely gutted but would rather go to Barcelona than stand in a crappy stadium.

I was surprised that we could change the date of the game, seeing that Good Friday is such an important date in the Christian diary...but, as I've said, it's cool and I'm cartainly looking forward to the game.

 

I'm sure that there will be those that will have a negative reaction to the date but that is life. You can't please everyone. I just hope those that do have issue will be constructive in their comments.

Home on Friday, Home on Monday sounds like the perfect long weekend to me. Six points will round it off nicely as well.

Technically we are away to Chelmsford.

 

But we are at Home the following Saturday to some team calld Yeading apparently.

Yeading, think I heard of them. Then Worthing at home so its 4 home games in a row lets hope we get good support and pick up 12 New Lodge points so not to confuse me with the away but home situation.

Sounds like a good choice to me, never a fan of playing two games inside 3 days, and theyre all big games now.

Not good for me as looks like going to have to change my plans if I can for Good Friday.

 

I was hoping for a lunchtime kick off on the Saturday, followed by the England game which would of bought extra revenue in with people staying at the club to watch the England game.

Thats typical of a team that have been a bit spolit for success, if St.Albans were playing a league team away I'd be back like a shot. And plane tickets to Barcalona cost about a tenner.
