Hx Reported for Racism

Unc, could tell you all about it as the newport fans who firstly complained to the stewards, then whoever else would listen, including their blazers stationed themselves directly in front of me in the eastside, but the easiest thing would be to write a polite response and inviting the FA down as you suggested.

What gets me is that banter happens all the time at football matches, and whenever I've heard the sheep shagging allegations directed at Welsh or Kiwis, I've not seen anyone over react or get as upset as the woman in the wig did.

Normally they say "yep, we shag 'em, then you eat 'em!" If they'd have said that, we'd have all laughed and picked on something else, such as the linesman, one of their players or each other!

i was standing directly behind the few welsh fans who thought it necessary to stand right in amongst the eastside disco and have to say they were there to get a reaction without a shadow of doubt. when words were exchanged i thought they should have gone and stood with there own fans but seemed to hang around trying to provoke reactions.

Unc, I beleive my good friend Nigel D spoke to this fat lump of pig sh1t in the bar at half time (No offence intended to any "fat lumps of pig sh1t" that may be reading this) and she was bending his ear big time over the alleged abuse. That said however, it didn't stop her dancing around with glee when she'd heard that they had just scored whilst she was standing at the bar just before half time. Actually Unc, better check the floorboards don't now need replacing with that fat old munter jumping up and down on them!!! Anyway, I'll let Nige know, he might be able to add something.

Lord, I did indeed speak to her, in fact, I even put my arm round her to try and comfort her and stop her crying, that proved a waste of time, she told me she was being verbally abused by Hornchurch fans on the terraces, to be honest i thought she was a bit pathetic, she must have been called a sheepshagger and the like many times, as you say though, when the goal went in, she was leaping around with joy.

Her husband was a right pr1ck, as you say Earl, giving it the bigun' and clearly spoiling for a fight. Just a good job that us Chins are above all that sort of nonsence.

Nige, is that the Newport woman you have a pic of there next to your name?????

LOL pimlico, I was being a gentleman, I didn't know why she was distressed, only struck up conversation with her in first place cos I asked her how she could come all way from Wales and not stay to watch the whole of 1st half and thus miss their goal, it was then she told me of the alledged verbal abuse and why she had come into the bar early.

They sound like wonderful peace loving fans who aren't in any way spoiling for some fisticuffs.

We're not all like that. I just don't understand this. The insults we get these days are nothing compared to the good ol' league days, and you can't have said anything worse than anyone else has, it was all good fun, some people are just sensative I guess annoying but true.

Well said Ben.... Like we`ve said, we came to your place took loads of stick about being English, got on with it, gave some back & ended up having one of our best away days out. Would like to once again thank all the NOOOOOOPRT fans who kept us drinking in thier club house till 7-30pm last year... Top Boys <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

Couldn't agree with with you more, old chap, your fans took it all in good humour and gave as good as they got. Most stayed to drink in the clubhouse afterwards and stood in respectful silence as our manager Garry Hill publicly announced his resignation. The exception being the two cretins in question who obviously seem to have the ear of somebody in authority at your club. I'll apologise if anything said was genuinely offensive but I personally believe it was all just good natured banter and was no worse than the songs about Essex girls and boys that we get week in week out. If the report is in relation to songs about sheep shagging being racist then all I can say to that is that we've song exactly the same things to fans of clubs from the West Country and Norfolk, which according to FA guidelines wouldn't be racist as it is not based on nationality, figure that out if you can. Anyway, sorry to go on so long, best of luck to Newport for the rest of the season. Toodle-oo. EOP
