Are we waiting for news today? N/T

Have e.mailed council enquiries about the above matter and as to when any meeting will be taking place concerning our club. Also as to any decision being made. Below is the reply recieved from the council. This shows that nothing has been set and until we hear from them,if we do at all, then its still open as to when we get a decision. Do hope this is not yet another stalling practice. It just HAS to be THIS week though dont you think, surely?

Dear Mr Cook

Thank You for your email. Negotiations are still going on to find a

mutually acceptable date. The Council will issue a press release

advising the date, once it has been decided.

Best Regards

Public Affairs.

Am annoyed at their continual delaying tactics but that can all be forgotten as far as I am concerned if they give us a "positive "decision. But only if building works can start IMMEDIATELY! They are obviously working out how much time they can use up here and maybe give us a "positive" decision and as to how much time they can then use up going through all the other procedures if doing so, before its too late for us to continue in the league that we are in at the moment.

Time is our enemy now as well!!!!!!!

It is blindingly obvious that these are stalling tactics to effectively destroy any chance of being at Hartsdown for the start of next season. The club has met all of its deadlines but TDC can do what they like. Even if we get the green light never in a million years will sufficient work be carried out in time so I fear that it is the end of our conference days if not the end of our club. What a waste of all the players and managers efforts in the league and for the faithful 200 or so of us who have stuck by the club throughout these difficult times. We were probably the most successful non league club in the late 90's, beginning of this century, with two promtions and several cups and cup runs but all of this hard work will be exterminated because of bloody minded politics. It makes me sick to the stomach. Long live MFC.

WHEN we get our ground built and hopefully get a decent cup run as in 1997 and draw a high profile team can we tell the council leaders to stick themselves if they try to muscle in on the publicity AGAIN

do we know who is delaying tony cos it might just be that everything is not quite in place. Better it is all there dotted and crossed and absolutely watertight than we miss something and it gets pounced on! perhaps find something out at the game. It has to be just so to get the nod and then i am sure we can move on positivily. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cuddle.gif" alt="" />as it valentines!

Agree Geoff that though its late in coming we havent at the moment been turned down completely so yes it could be good that this delay is happening in that case. My point is that whichever way it goes time is being wasted. Lets just hope that as you say maybe everthing is being "crossed & dotted" but also lets hope that any positive reply is not too long in coming. We dont have the time to waste.Timewise we are on the brink and its that that is concerning me as well as getting a positive answer.
