Non-leauge thingy prediction

After the traumas of last season, all the Saints will be wanting is a season with no controversy, and pre-season suggests things are going in the right direction. The managerial duo of Steve Cook and Gary Roberts look to be making some shrewd signings, and will be looking to build on the end of last season where the club managed to finish in a very respectable position, despite having to play half their league games in 3 months. In young striker Simon Martin, they have a ready made supply of goals, but the Saints have now found an experienced strike partner in Gary Crawshaw. Of the incoming players, the experience of Scott Oakes and Steve Castle will be extremely beneficial. It should be a decent season for the Hertfordshire club, and hopefully the supporters will have something to cheer about.

IN : Jon Challinor (Cambridge City), Gary Sippitts (London Colney), Rob Gould (Tamworth), Steve Castle (Stevenage Borough), Stuart Beevor (Hitchin Town), Jamie Richards (Leyton Pennant), Scott Oakes (Cambridge United), Leon Townley (Aldershot Town), Gary Crawshaw (Farnborough Town)

OUT : Corey Campbell (released), Youness Nabil (Tooting & Mitcham United), Mike Bignall (retired), Danny Honeyball (Leyton Pennant), Gary Ansell (Harlow Town), Gary Wraight (Harlow Town)

Last Season - 10th. Steve's Prediction - 7th. Hillsy's Prediction - 2nd.

I actually like this one, it came from the Alders*t* forum:

I think St.Albans City will be well up there this season, I see they have signed Crawshaw from the scum and also Scott Oakes (former Luton & Sheff Wed) as well as our old boy Townley (who I think we should of kept), Steve Castle is also there and some yank called Hollenbeake who I hear is the buisness, A player called Rob Gould who I know played for Doc Martins runners up Tamworth last season and also from the Doc Martins a geezer called Channiller who was chased by a load of conference clubs, That Derek Brown is back there and they still have Simon Martin (Top 3 scorer last year) and Rob Smith (who I beleave Canvey and us were also after). I actually see them and Grays as our main threat.

Predictions

1. Aldershot or St.Albans

2. Aldershot or St.Albans

3. Grays

4. Canvey I

5. Purfleet

At last they are seeing some sense!
