I thought it was worthy of highlighting their improvement during course of season.

 

As per previous games where others highlighted their good recent form,(thank goodness CK has abandonned playing them as deep wingbacks)this continued yesterday,when imo Alex in particular was outstanding for workrate and creating opportunities.Both were tackling and winning the ball

 

Both players looked bona fide midfield players;contrasting markedly when they made their early season appearances in this league,looked completely lost; and probably justifiably endured some criticism.

 

I think massive credit must go to them as individuals for working hard to 'make it' at this level,together with CK for spotting their potential,perservering and the coaching and training that must have gone in to enable them to start to really shine .(and thats on wet muddy pitches when i suspect they would be better still on sunny days).

At their rate of improvement,their potential must be massive.

 

As before, i just hope that we can maintain our position in this league, get a ground ,keep this squad together, have a decent summers preparation for a change and then see what the Gate can do next season.It could be good.
