BILLERICAY 2 WINDSOR 1

Hmmmmm...well what could be said about this game? 1st half both teams looked as if they were struggling with the conditions but I thought we lacked urgency. Nathan again went close, getting in a couple of good scoring positions but not taking them. Those that criticise the lad in the crowd, please remember, he isn't the finished article but when he is...well, Hockers, Cuz and Elder up front and we'll be awsome!!! Gallagher got taken off injured following a clash of heads and Cuz came on as his sub.

The second half started brighter for the Blues with Hunter banging in a 20 yard shot, following Windsors inability to clear their lines. We worked hard, was more decisive with our passing and got the rewards in a wonderful right footed volley from Hanter (again), from a cross from Cuz. A lack of concentration from us 10 minutes from the end of the game was really the reason for the Windsor goal. Again, we took our eye of the ball, was static in defence and bang...2-1.

Windsor din't really offer anything and they looked a team that had no interest in the game in the first half. In the second half, after we scored, they upped their work rate but really, if it wasn't for our "slip", they wouldn't have got even that goal. I'm not going to offer an opinion on that as, I'm sure, the management will, again, give the boys a talking to. I will say, we're picking up 3 points from every game without firing on all cylinders...And that is good...As our best is yet to come, Yeading will reap the 'Ricay Whirlwind when they come here later in the seaon.

The first half wasnt great. The pitch cut up badly due to all the overnight rain and we didnt really get going.

In the second half I thought we played really well and were well worthy of our lead. Two superb strikes from Leon who again was our best player for me. I thought Windsor were quite poor actually (much worse than Northwood) and if it hadn't been for a lack of concentration at the back we would have cruised to a comfortable win. All we can do is win our games and it was a good job done. Well done!

Yeading's game in hand is on Tuesday at home to Wealdstone..Let's hope the Stones can get something there.

Just wondering if the increase in crowd was directly related to Sime's absence :-)

Armstorng looks a good addition espically as he looked a 100% player chasing one or two good causes and I would much rather have a 100% than a really talented player who dosent n gives [censored] all. When Dannys back the competion for places up top well be interesting with Nath, Ross, Danny n Coz. Winning without having to get out of second gear and shows the true mark of champions. One concern was that again we let in a late goal and we need to keep concentrating right till the end of the game not switch.
