Romford 0 Enfield Town 1

Recommended Posts

Well done Town. You were a pleasure to watch on Saturday. The difference in class between the Town players and the Romford players was clearly noticeable. We had a level of skill and ball distribution that Romford could only dream of. It's a shame the referee didn't stamp his authority on the game from the start as Town would have won comfortably with eleven men. The Romford bench knew the personel on the pitch couldn't change the game so they tried to alter it from their technical area. Agree with comment elsewhere, what's the point in having a technical area that ends almost on the touchline? Especially when Rush Green Road has a large space between the perimeter fence and the touchline, it's not cramped like some grounds.

Here's to the return leg next week. There will clearly be some ill feeling carried over from Saturday's game, it's unavoidable. I hope Town let the football do the talking and run Romford ragged again!

My first chance to comment. Neither side came out with much credit in the first half shenanigans but if the officials had dealt with (or even seen?) the water squirting then the second incident probably wouldn't have happened. I was, however, surprised at just how easily Rudi Hall was able to bowl over a guy who must have been at least twice Rudi's weight.

Not so long ago a Romford fan was complaining here about some of the antics of Southend Manor players and officials. What was the difference between that and what Romford were doing on Saturday?

If Romford take the same approach next week it should be lively but we'll win. I'll be more worried if they try to play football.

why ?????????????????????????, , told you its going to be hot and very sunny, so tell Rudi, to bring his sun tan cream and towel, to dry off his face, Zody, you bitch, only joking

Zody, both you and few lbs have been asked directly if you condone the actions of the Romford bench on Saturday. Neither of you have answered, just evaded the question.

Well?

Give it a [****!!****] rest you knob. It happened, sh!t happens and of course you whiter than whites have never done anything untoward in your FOUR years in the ESL. Get a life, get out of mine and move on...or maybe not...your games at our place boost our coffers. At the end of the day (cliches abound), if Rudi Hall had half a brain and considering his track record, his manager would have tried to calm him down.

Obviously he fancies a 90-day sabbatical......

Be seeing ya....Saturday.

all I saw was, rudi moaning to the ref, our coach on the floor,I was entertaining my guests at the time, but I have done the same and had the same done to me at youth level by the kids,no tears from anyone, but would the reaction be the same if it was not a cup match or from a player that may have a short fuse, if he has one, I dont know him, so I cant comment, but as I said before, if it was a red hot day he would have welcomed the water like you and I hopefully, well I would, its called a sense of humour

Sorry kid, but this is more boring than listening to Sky Sports...It goes on, and on and on and on. Let us put things in perspective.

A Townie player was sprayed with water....twas hardly Hungerford or the Twin Towers...Rudi Hall carries enough baggage to realise...hey pull back, but no, he has to react knowing that any act of physical response will be red card material.

What he should have done was to forget the wind up and then make said perpetrator look stupid by doing the business on the pitch. Good player is he, but a bear of very little brain.

Mind you, as Winston Churchill once said of the Kaiser during the Great War....what would I have done in his place?

TOWNER

yes he should have but he also shouldnt or wouldnt have been wound up so much with out your man starting it. how would u like it if somebody off the pitch, nothing to do with that player at that matter of time in the game, starting p***ing him off, any human would react to it. Rudi just didnt react very well at all.

i think we all need to move on from this. agree that if the romford coach / manager / whatever man HADNT done anything to purposely try and wind Rudi up then Rudi wouldnt have been wound up and wouldnt have reacted.

who cares anyway, its not like the romford coach / manager / whatever man was actually hurt. another dirty antic. he wasnt hurt one little bit but still rolled on the floor like a pig in... mud, went off the pitch then came back and ran up and down it as easily as if he hadnt ever been hurt one little bit.

so lets all get over it. romford man shouldnt have started anything, and Rudi shouldnt have reacted but both happened so lets all move on.
