We've already knocked Sawbo out of the Herts Senior Cup with a squad side so I don't think the manager will feel pressurised into fielding the full first team on Tuesday, especially with a bruising league encounter coming up on Saturday and another semi final the following Tuesday. That said, he may decide to give the big guns a go with the Final so close.

Won 2-0. Took a fairly strong team up there in the end. Just a couple of players short of a full strength team. Only had two subs though, and the manager decided to go and watch Hanwell lose at Broxbourne instead.

By the way, congrats to Sawbo for getting the pitch to look as good as it did considering the recent weather and the two hours of football it took on Saturday. I actually think they did us a favour making the surface as flat as it was as it helped us to play our normal passing game.

Well My report would be that we were the charitable ones.

First half we had PBT under the cosh for most of the half and fell behind to a counter attack.

Second half was more even and PBT were awarded a penalty on 60 mins, which was duly dispatched sendind me the wrong way ( Shti - don't watch the eyes!).

On the whole I think a draw and more ET would have been a fairer reflection of the game but as we know football is about taking chances PB did we didn't end of.

Well done PBT I think you will stuff Royston in the Final. We beat them 2-0 last week in the SM fllodlight cup and you lot are a much better team

Cheers Shaun. I think it took us a while to get used to the route one stuff your boys were playing (quite sensible tactics, considering the state of the centre circle).

Royston should be beatable but you never know with cup finals. If they were always cut and dried there wouldn't be any point in turning up.

By the way, don't think you would have got near that penalty if you'd gone the right way!

Depends on if I went to the top left corner. Good pen though.

We thought your weakness would be your defence and keeper as we were aware that you had strengths up front and like to play down the flanks. So pressurising the ball in the last third was the tactic employed. Unfourtunately despite large amounts of possesion we never put your keeper under anywhere near enough pressure.

As I said good luck in the final. It was nice to see Paul Surridge again after 8 years. He was an assistant manager/ coach of mine years back when I was starting out. Nice fella. Apart from the day he didn't tell me Leyton Pennant came in for me. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
