oh and staines.... to say spence was having a mare is putting it a tad mildly...absolute shocker was my feeling... ah well we all have off days <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Ryan Spencer still managed to create a number of cances on a wind swept pitch with more mud than grass! If Spencer played badly then how do you rate Saulsbury and Metcalfe? James scored an own goal and gave the ball away more times than not, and Metcalfe was totally useless and gave them a simple goal, So i dont think Spencer had a mare, not ahead of anyone else anyway!

Ryan Spencer & Danny Bailey, Slough's worst ever central midfield players ever!

That was a little jibe Marcus, During Danny's time at Slough he was always getting slated by the fans despite being the most solid and creative player in the team, same as Ryan Spencer is to us now. People watching Slough around that time will clarify that. Spencer played well today on a very poor pitch in bad conditions, but people dont take that into consideration and just slate the bloke. No body played well today, but to say he had a mare is just madness. He was no way near as bad as half the others on that pitch.

That post was me, as you have probably just worked out, but had forgot to sign in.

Ah right, im just getting irritated by constant critics, i admit he played poorly today but i think its easier to name who didnt play poorly than those who did, it was a shocking performance especially in the 2nd half! Man of match SMURF 1 by a country mile

Yeah Michael Murphy played very well and Seedel tried, as always, when he came on and a well taken goal. As you say Marcus definately more bad performances than good today but I suppose conditions need to be taken into account. Recent performances have been much improved so lets hope this is a blip like the Corinthian and Bracknell games were last year. And on the plus side, no one on our team played as badly as their No 10!

Oh, I agree with Norbert about Danny Bailey (and Ryan obviously), two of the most underrated players ever to play for Slough IMO. Although can't deny Spence had a major offday today.

I would say he was creative in a different way to Ryan. Whereas Ryan looks for the killer pass so to speak, Danny Bailey would start moves off from midfield by supplying simple balls to the wide men. Bailey was definately more solid than Ryan is, although Spence has definately improved that side of his game recently as seen at Harrow and in the Thurrock game in particular.

Their officals were well out of order !!

their should never got involved with some of our supporters ! One comment really hurt me !

quote : Great to beat a team and a set of supporters who support a team that's has not even got its own ground) !!! a total [****!!****] !!!!!

This came from on of their club officals..talk about kicking a dog when its down....

Not a good one ...should have got in front in the first half...missed a few chances!

We don't like playing in high winds or a sticky pitch....

Just hope we can get a few points to steer us away from the bottom...we know the rebels can do it....just a bad day all round...it happens...

did not mean to cause offence... just called a spade a spade.... personally don't have issues with any of the lads, and certainly never called anyone the worst player.... thats just unfair...agreed, i prob didn't take the ground maintenance (or lack there of) into account...so apologise if seemed out of order
