Looking for votes

So on the very day that we were supposed to get a decision it is seen on front page of gazette that the council will AT LAST replace the clock tower lights. Seems to me they have lost votes through our saga and are maybe trying to recoup some votes by this announcement. I for one am totally in favour of this change but it must be said that this will still take about a year to happen. Its not about the lights, this announcement, but a way of getting lost votes to swing back in their favour. Or maybe its just pure co-incidence!

Is it not a county decision and are the county elections this year?. Our FUHRER also gave away the land in Margate harbour this week to the county for the turnusover contemflop morsaleum.Looking at the piece in the very Conservative(with a big C) gazzette concerning council spending for next year any tourists who are brave enough to venture down here this next season are not going to be able to spend a penny. Asi go about my work at night if i need to spend a coin i have to either use one of 2 super markets or either the Shell, BP or the broadway Esso. a long walk if you are a family promenading the fronts. I feel sorry for 99% of the traders on Northdown Road who are having to manage this year without the older holiday makers who used to spend in that road when on there coach holidays based at the Grand and Fort lodge. Also over heard a very interesting conversation last night about a certain piece of land with obscene fencing and a deal struck bettween two parties. Anyway ,Good luck to the Boys today in Newport and long live CK's BLUE ARMY.

Did anyone read in yesredays Gazette, the report about this summers proposed air display, which apparently is going to be held off Palm Bay.A smashing event to look foreward to I am all in favour. However apparently tickets are now on sale for this event from the council £5 per person.First of all presumably tjhe air display will be over the sea, similar to Broadstairs and Folkestone,in which case it will be easily seen from all the local coast. So what is the £5 going to give you access to.Fence off all from Botany Bay to Minnis Bay!!!!!!.If the plans are to hold some sort of enclosed fete come exhibition etc on the grass,on top of the cliffs between Northumberland Avenue and the coastguard station at North Foreland then this area is open at all times to the public and the council CANNOT charge for access to parts of it. I am very interested in what they plan to do .Any body got any thoughts on it.
