TIMED OUT BY COUNCIL

6.30 am Radio Kent =

No answer on ground yet. TDC need a few more days. Club says that any more delay their place in the league in jeopardy.

I can't see how they could put any sort of ground together for August (at the latest, as would need to be inspected before).

Timing the application out is what I would expect of TDC - so they did not have to say "No".

Over Christmas they were the ones demanding that WE hurry up. Now, when it suits them, they want to stall.

Would we be able to stick up a temporary ground in time for next season? Don't forget that one stand still exists.

seems sandy is a man of his word, he said he will put a roundabout back at the clocktower and it appears 4 years on he is going to.

seems this council like to take their time

Sandy has to take his time because he must be sure he is doing he right thing. It is our money he is worried about and must be seen to be getting "value for money". The many thousands of pounds used from the councils ratepayers coffers to pay for the officials time, all the paper used , all the computer time, all the councillors expenses claimed whilst the elected body shifted through the plans word by word(checking spellings to play it save) time and time and time again.

But never fear at the end of the day when a decision is finally reached and been typed out(making sure that the new logo headed paper council paper is used) we can be sure that Sandy has saved OUR money in the long run.

Timing us out is and always has been their strategy. However as others have said this cant be "negative" news surely. Dont forget that if the report was "positive" then they also have to scrub over their mismanagement over the past months. This will need sorting and wording to make them look as though they were right in some sort of way.

They know we have a time limit but even they cant stall for very much longer. Would be interested to hear from the club too as they surely must have a copy of that report and it would be nice to know just how that report panned out.

Just want to add that the council seem to putting

the onus back on the club by saying that details from the club are being further looked at. Wasnt this report something that the council arranged but was being paid for by Mr. Lever. They do try and twist things dont they?

I think we have to take this as a "positive" though we must not get complacent. To be honest this news is far far better than I thought we would get even though nothing really has been said either way as yet.

I take heart from this! Am slightly more hopeful than I was. Again though "no counting chickens".
