Isn't there a group called Fans Utd or something like that, who help out clubs in our situation ?

I overheard someone talking about them in Horsham the other day.

We are featured on the Clubs in Crisis website which is pretty much who you are referring to. Through this things like the Fans United day at Wrexham a few weeks ago get organised. There is no magic wand as such in terms of helping us out but they do put up a lot of useful information detailing the experiences of Brighton.

What I will say though is I'm putting things into a bit of perspective today. On the one hand yes it is worrying that after six and a half years we are no closer to securing either our short-term or long-term future, and quite rightly there are questions that need answering. On the other hand I'm seeing that another club in our divison (Kingstonian) is set to be suspended from the Ryman League today and if it is will probably be the end of a famous non-league club. Yes we have very serious problems, but I'd rather have those than be in their predicament right now

Is it green belt? Under planning rules you aren't allowed to build a stadium there unless there are no other places in the urban area. The Kennedy Park proposal might be seen to show that there is an alternative, albeit not acceptable to the politicians.Daft but true.

Just an idea, forgive me if it's been discussed and dismissed/actioned already, why don't the club write to the Queen?

You could start maybe a little tongue in cheek by saying 'we are a team playing in a small corner of your back garden' and go on explain the plight of the club.

Of course nothing will come of this and no doubt if you got a response it would be the standard letter from a lackey but you could publicise what you are doing to the local press get a club spokesman to talk on it, get some space in the news section again, keep the issue in peoples' minds – all for the price of a stamp and a little time.

Just an idea
