Mr Daish wont even bother turning up at Stonebridge Road - which is no doubt what several on here seem to want (although to be fair, the majority are anonymous posters).

 

The Directors have made their decision and we all want the club to do well, so lets give our full support to Liam, starting at Carlisle on Saturday.

 

And lets make sure he gots a great welcome at the next home game against Tamworth.

 

How anyone can be categoric that CK, GH, or anyone else was "the right man for the job" and Liam isnt, is beyond me - CK or GH may have come to us 7 end up getting us relegated - what sort of response would he get then??

 

The "Right man for the job" will always be a matter of personal opininon, anyway and we'll never know how CK or GH would do in charge, so its pointless suggesting such things.

Exactly, you're both right. It's impossible for ordinary fans to say who should and shouldn't have been given the job, because none of us have the exact list of who has and hasn't applied.

 

When I read the news of Liam's appointment, I really didn't know what to think - after Andy being in the manager's job for so long (in my case, more than half of my time going to watch the Fleet), any replacement for him was going to feel a little strange.

 

But what I'll say now is that, as would have been the case if anyone else had been appointed, I'll give Liam my full support. Welcome to the Fleet Liam.

Great to see the new manager in place, I wish him well. Why are people talking about his connections to other clubs & I guess brining new faces in. We need to motivate a perfectly competative side and I bet he's a good motivator. Best wishes to Liam and the team

Couldn't agree more. Give the man a chance, support him and the team, but let's not expect instant miracles either. He has said that his first priority is to maintain Conference National status, so let us keep our expectations at that for the moment. Anything more is a bonus.

To be honest after first hearing who the new manager was, I was a little surprised. And even though I feel that he might not be someone to take the club any further forward, I will still support him and the clubs decision. Good luck to him though, I hope he can prove me wrong.

Come on lads. When Andy Ford was appointed it was a bit out of the blue with realy only youth team experiance. This chappie has at least had 4 seasons at the helm of a club. Our first aim is to avoid a relegation battle (FAT Final would be nice too) so lets get behind him now & re-appraise in May.

I wish Liam Diash the best of luck and hope he can turn our league form around and hopefully continue the run in the FA Trophy. He can only be judged on the results he has achieved and hopefully the board have made the right decision.
