Don't forget who mentioned Liam first

Although there were a few people quick to point out the absence of the word NOT in last week's Gravesend Reporter (and quite rightly so as well) when referring to Pennock, Sampson, Kinnear and Hill applying for the job, at least concede we did throw Liam's name into the public domain for the first time.

Brian Kilcullen said he had taken a phone call from our columnist Paul Parker, who recommended someone for the job. We put 2+2 together and came up his former assistant at Welling, Liam, approached him and he confirmed he was in the running.

This is a great capture for the Fleet as during his all too brief spell in charge of Welling over Christmas before Ade's appointment there, he had an impressive points return of 10 from 12. Lets hope he will make just an immediate impact at Stonebridge Road!

Haha my original post was aimed at those who are always quick to take a dig at the paper whenever we make a mistake (and hands up, last week we did by missing out the word 'not' when mentioning Pennock et al). Respect to the poster who mentioned Liam before Andy had even left though, that is quite impressive.

As for Daish being a failure, give him time for God's sake, he has only just arrived. Time will tell obviously but I would wait until at least the end of this season before rushing to any judgement on his success or failure. Personally I think he will do well.
