Bryco Cup Draw

Thanks for the kind words although "one of the best non-league teams at moment" is far to flattering. To be realistic if you put a first XI out you should start as favourites to beat us. Went to one of your games last season v Banstead, think you won infront of an impressive away turn out. Looking forward to the game. Hard to judge the interest for this cup but I would safely say we'll bring at least 500, possibly a few more.

Every cloud has a silver lining then... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Another game to fit in, but at least we got the plum draw in terms of a good crowd. Even if they 'only' bring 500, that's an awful lot more than the others would have done. Would have liked another trip to Kingston though. I'm not the biggest fan of the Bryco Cup but if we win this one there's no reason why we can't go on and win it I suppose...

They are a force in the non league game, just look at their gates. They're just going up the pyramid sensibly, signing the players needed to win the division comfortably rather than getting a load of Conference players and beating everyone 6-0 each week.

I think Slough should win this given their record in cups this season. The question still remains: How will these extra cup games affect the league?

Most would agree that they are top five material on their day in this division but that day is less and less likely as they fall behind further in the fixtures.

Still, a nice conundrum...

Top of the league by a long way, beaten higher league opposition on a number of occasions this season, beat Barnet 3 - 0 in a pre season friendly. Our record hasn't been that bad this season, but we're certainly not one of the best in non league football, bear in mind though, 10 of the current first 11 were not with the club last season, nor was the manager or his assistant. If we were playing a Conference side, we'd probably struggle, but Ryman Premier?? Anything can happen

Us AFC fans are a little bid sad, and if we're playing at a ground or against a team we've never played before, the attendance is usually quite large regardless of the competition. The reason there was only 700+ against Cray in the previous round was because they're in the same league as us, we'd only recently played them and it was at home. I live in Cambridge and me and my mate will certainly be at the game

Living in Bucks I couldn't of got a better draw for AFC, i'll be coming along with 2 others, 1 who doesn't support either team but we manage to drag him to Kingsmeadow a few times each season :-)

Very pleased. It will be a strange experience for us to be outnumbered at a home game but the bodies through the turnstiles are always welcome. I feel we should win this game if we take it as seriously as we have done against Cheshunt and Salisbury but entirely dependent on when we manage to shoe horn the game in. Do you reckon our ball is kept in the fridge overnight before a cup draw? Another one at home - unbelievable.

Good draw, looking forward to the game - should be close if we are in good form. Look out for Robert Ursell, one of the best players you will see in non-league. Never been to Staines ground, what is the ground like?
