Are you going to get to a game this season, Rob?

 

Nice little ground in the shadow of Canary Wharf, the highlight was when the top masts of a tall ship passed above the tree-tops betweeen the stadium and the office buildings behind. That was in the 61st minute.

 

I was a little disappointed in the game. We were in control throughout but not as incisive or creative as I was hoping to see. Solid at the back. Ryan did well. Duncan Roberts [formerly Harrow?] was in goal for the first half, Wilmot for the second. It looks as though we have two keepers. Oakes, Challinor and ThomasaBecket had a quiet game. Castle played the first half. No Smith, Keen or Brown. Martin was a little off the pace as was De Souza. Evans played well, coming on for the second half. Crawshaw looked the part. Qwality. Sippets came on for the last 20 minutes, on the right side of midfield and did well.

 

A lot of negotitions in and around the clubhouse after the game and Crawshaw, De Souza, Naylor and Roberts signed something. It might have been Cookie collecting their autographs for his collection or they might have committed their future to The Saints.

Oi AFF! Any chance of a match report this season? I hear the NLP journo job is up for grabs as well, sounds right up your street, the rag needs an injection of, er, originality (!). And Webbo, I think our paths crossed in cyber-space on Saturday night, I did notice the news about 5 minutes after I posted here. I forgot to mention. Oakes wore the No. 7 shirt. Not quite up to the substitution of Harvey for Harvey two seasons ago but a bit poetical. Fair play to The Duo.
