any ideas for new items in shop

A DVD of all Conf matches (or at least a round up) of season 2004/05.

Surely there is some good footage they can use?...

You could also make it interactive and have player profiles/interviews etc..

Just an idea, and I know I would buy it even if it was around 20 squibs.

Video/DVD of all of our big FA Cup matches, such as Villa, Huddersfield and Notts county.

More car stickers. What happened to the ones which said "don't follow me, follow the fleet". I couldn't see them last time I was in the shop, I could only spot the ones saying "Gravesend and Northfleet F.C, the fleet".

Fleece - ideal for the cold weather

Beany hat - tastefully done with small GNFC logo (not sure if this exists already?)

Umbrella - Large golf type with GNFC logo on every other panel.

Plain T-Shirts - various colours with GNFC logo on left breast (oooerr).

Lapel Pins - 12mm diameter with GNFC logo

Wallets - Leather with embossed GNFC logo on front (plus a twenty inside..)

Pint glasses - With etched logo

DVD, DVD, DVD, DVD, DVD, DVD - oh and a DVD..!!

We should also consider producing items that are Nationwide Conference specific. This way we could attract purchasers from other visiting clubs to contribute to our worthwhile cause...?

A sort of souvengier (not sure on spelling..) store as well as our own branded items, could be a good thing, as it widens the potential of the shop...

Apart from the fact that segregation at most games would prevent them from visiting the club shop.

That is true. Last season after leaving a home game a visiting supporter( who had been segregated) asked if I would sell him my scarf as he had been prevented from visiting the club shop. As visiting supporters are our only passing trade perhaps something could be done to allow genuinely interested spectators access to the shop. Couldn't they be accompanied by a steward? Also would mail order be possible or would this be too much of a burden? kmj.

This is a very good point. When I like to go and watch us play away I sometimes go into the shop to buy a souvenier (not to sure of spelling either) or memento of the day.

Mail order is possible providing there is an official web-site to sell from (same old story..).

I actually think it's a good idea to provide away supporters the option of buying at least something other than a soggy burger and topless bottle of coke..!!

The club need to be more pro-active if it wants to develop/generate new business opportunties. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/top.gif" alt="" />

Some good ideas there.

Lunchboxes - already exist

Drink bottles - already exist

Fleeces - already exist

Tshirts/polo shirts - already exist

Mugs - already exist

Umbrellas - already exist

Car stickers - already exist, as well as tax disc holders.

Scarves - new one being designed for next year.

Beanie hats - already exist but a new style ready for next year.

Small pin badges - currently being designed for next year

Team poster - shouldn't be a problem - will investigate.

DVD - very much depends on who owns the footage, will investigate/liase with conferencefootball.tv and Meridian.

Programme binders - set up costs and initial purchase amount prohibitive but an alternative being explored.

Visiting supporters are welcome in the shop but it is at stewards discretion, for the big games a table is set up at the away end with merchandise.

Bags, pens, mouse mats and keyfobs already exist.

We are meeting suppliers soon so will see what else they can offer. Unfortunately loads of new lines means that we have to pay loads of set up fees for artwork etc.

We are considering getting some more high end "one off" type items like etched lighters, pint glasses, tankards etc.
