So you'd like to see him go then? He wasn't commiting himself last season which did upset people as he looked a good prospect, but hadn't proven himself totally to the fans. What we've seen since has been a masterclass and a credit to the club.

 

To hear how highly Roy & Eddie speak of him and how he conducts himself off the pitch, in addition to the performances we see on it show what a professional person he is.

Nathan he scored some vital goals in the second half of last season to help gain us promotion was you at the Egham game where he scored a goal out of nothing when it looked like we would come away from the game with no points he's a classy player.

Well you are genuinely wrong. He was our best player on the night. He had a slow start to his Slough career but since then he has been consistently one of our best performers. A fantastic attacking threat down the left wing with the energy and commitment to be an effective defender. He will be sorely missed if he chooses to leave. I hope he will deicide to stay with the club for the remainder of the season. There is only one Haddow.

I was probably to blame for influencing Nathan on the Egham game.

I thought that Haddow was having a poor game, and mentioned to Nathan that I thought he was playing rubbish. 10 seconds later he scored a cracker.

I then said that even though he had scored a cracker, I still thought he was playing rubbish. He promptly scored another cracker. This amused Nathan greatly.

I have since signed up as a football pundit for Sky Sports, and Nathan carries a sign saying <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/stupid.gif" alt="" />

I think it speaks volumes for the way Eddie and Mickey have brought players on that we're even having this debate about Alex because he's now playing at the peak of his form. That's down to a load of hard work by Alex himself and the people around him. That in itself is a good reason for Alex to stay.

 

It's also interesting that I cannot envisage us having this debate/support for too many players in previous years which is an indication of what the fans think of 'our mullet'.

 

If the decision is that he leaves then we can only wish him well but I'm not sure Eastleigh can give him the platform his performances deserve.

 

Stay, Alex. You will get your opportunity at a far higher level than Eastleigh when the time is right.

actually, as i remember it, he couldn't run, he couldn't pass or tackle, but he still won the game for us

I really hope you do choose to stay with us Alex.

I've supported the Rebels for 17 years now after seeing my first match when I was 10. In my opinion you're one of the best players that Slough Town have had. Your all round game is superb, you can score, create chances but also defend well, you don't stop running! If you had to leave us for another side, I'd hope it'll be a much bigger side in a higher league as you're capable of playing higher. Don't go to a side in the same league, unless it's purely for financial reasons.

We have a great chance of some success this season if you decide to stay.

Wait till the end of the season and hopefully the chance will come for you to make a move up the ladder not across it. (or rather you decidie that you love Slough so much that you will still want to stay - in our dreams anyway)
