To whoever has treated the pitch over the last week or so, looked in good nick today given the amount of matches on it recently, so well done to those involved and thanks.

When i left the ground yesterday i saw some work being done to it at 6pm ish.

 

Clearly some money has been invested into the pitch and if i remember right we've not had a home game called off for the whole of last season and this one so far which is very good for a pitch with 4 teams on it

We had a match called off in the Berks and Bucks last season, but that was more to due with persistant torrential rain than the pitch not being able to cope.

hmmm pitch looked a bit s***e today though... if a penalty had been awarded it would have been a "someone find the spray paint" job again...

the pitch looked quite good tuesday night, just goes to show what a few days of crappy weather can do to the pitch

Yep there was a lot of standing water at 2.30 it improved with the windy conditions but it is clear the pitch has been cutting up badly.

I can see problems when/if there is a saturday game and then a tuesday game a reserve game and then another saturday game mixed with any rain at all.

 

However the groundstaff work magic so perhaps it'll all be fine!
