[color:"blue"]Don't know about progress of Mark & Pat, but according to the 'Gazette Darren Watson & Aaron Barnett are back into contention after injury (being on the bench at Thurrock seems to have been an excercise in numbers, though DW did do a few warm-up runs when we were 1-0 down).

 

Also in Gazette we have signed a midfielder Conor Lander (another Yank from Rhode Island). BIOG HERE

 

Apparently despite the transfer embargo we can sign non-contract players provided the squad doen't get any bigger than when embargo was introduced (& we've just lost Romauld Bouadji).

I think the American players make things very interesting, as they bring a fresh approach to the game. Also, football as a sport in the USA is gaining in popularity, and if good players can come over here to gain experience in our game, we can gain from them, and they can take our good name home again.

Football is an international sport, so it is not a bad thing if we can reflect a bit of that.

So far bene and smith have been great this season the odd blip on ocasion but aside from that brilliant cant w8 to see the new guy sounds like he could be the soultion to are probs in the middle this season.
