Given the fact that one of the approaches was made over 7 days ago, if he did decide to leave, he could be playing in the league on Saturday. Hope he does stay though, even if it's only for us to get the chance to persuade him to stay by giving him support on Sunday.

Alex leaving would be a significant blow. Ian's right (don't say that very often!)we must let him know how much he is valued on Sunday. If he wants to get back into the professional game, going to either of those won't serve him any better than being at Slough, however the money might help, but by the same token he would be better not being on contract.

Haddow is a fantastic player who would add anything to any side in this league. If i had to chose for him i'd say Eastleigh as they have a better chance of going into the conference South and a certainly do not have any 'off the field' problems like Slough.

 

Sailsbury most likley got the cash thanks to a large home following.

as an eastleigh fan the best part of the nite yesterday was when we heard that haddow was in the ground: my first thoughts were

1. YES GET IN!

2. why does he want tocome to a team that is crap at the moment? i mean you played oustabndingly against us and since then weve lost all our games! apparently we have loadsa money so thats why many of you will think he's come but if you came to our staduim you would of seen that it is actually crap! mindboggling y he's come! sorry guys.

 

p.s it's not definite if he's signed !

god i hope he's not going.... he's improved so much under our coaches and eddie in the last two seasons, and in many matches he's been the difference between us winning and losing...

 

outstanding ability worthy of conference level and more... which makes me think the eastleigh alleged moved is a bit fishy but like their fan above said, they've got loadsa money...

didn't have alex down for a gold digger type mind...

 

if it is true than STFC will have incurred a serious loss

Lets hope he doesnt go----------probably player of the season so far. He apparently lives in Fleet so Eastleigh may be a bit easier for travel but surely Slough could find some way to keep him (in addition to the loud persuasion we can offer on Sunday if he is out there).

 

I think we all feel that on the playing side we have a club that is really ready to progress and losing players of this calibre is a blow to that progress.

hi dave here. gutted that the great haddow has departed suddnly after the wycombe match. he has gone and eddie and micky could not stop him and who will beifit the most. maybe alex has family down that way or a heavy pay rise and good chance of getting into the conferance again. oh well great times with slough and evon through the sircumstances we should wish him all the best of luck for the future at his new club. i feel eddie is redy to some deal if one comes olong and until then surely we have enough there in the team to hold on and finnish reasonbly high. any thoughts or posters talking to me. take care all and speek soon

sorry gary dave here. maybe such a fast decison asumed he had gone not consentrating. so many people think he has gone but obveasly if he does stay it will be better for us. he is not on the eastligh forum yet and appologise for thinking and not rearlising he had not affically signed the papers there and he is still here in slough coulers and maybe eddie and micky have kept him and refused to let him go at the last minute. he is a quality player and maybe he has seen sence and stayed with the fans and team he knows best.

If this is going to happen...all I can say I am Gutted...its just another nail in our coffin...

 

I am so depressed today on hearing the news ! I had to go to Oxford today, passing in the train got to see Reading Town FC ground (better than ours) Didcot Town and Oxford city ..also reading about Burnham's new progression with their ground ! Beconsfield a better ground than ours !

 

Playing at Wycombe mid week to see how far the gap has happened ...looking at Wexham Park falling to pieces...

 

No wonder I am so depressed !

 

When will our club get the breaks ! with a council helping us...I know we have to help ourselves too.....but a helping hand onto the ladder would be nice...
