... at some point early next week if everything hits the timescales I've been given.

I'm hoping to be able to release an official statement tomorrow regarding the whole situation and will be putting it on the site as soon as I can.

Lets hope so.

The one lesson that may have been learned is that this season the club won't be throwing money (which it doesn't have) away on players who are interested only in their wage packet. There would seem to be some hope that a limited budget has been set and that it will have to be lived within. This may well mean a hard season with little hope of being at the top, but if it means the players are paid on time, and other bills paid, then its a long overdue move, as it will help the club survive. Won't list the negatives as there are too many.

Season tickets---was going to purchase at the Staines match. Will discount period be extended past 10 August?

Ted: re Season Ticket - is there a reason why you cannot post form with a cheque?

Both Martin and Steve have said that the wage budget had been cut (rumoured to be up to 60% reduction) and I had confirmation from Martin that payment for players would be 'almost' guaranteed once this cut was in place.

Looks like the lesson has been learned, but:

1) For how long?

2) Who was the original culprit in hiking the wage?

3) Can Martin keep his word? - Given all the work he is currently doing in resolving the issues surrounding the club, it would appear the penny (If he's got one left ) has finally dropped.
