After the disappointment of missing out on tickets to the Hawthorns last weekend, Gertcha and myself have successfully purchased tickets for the replay a week Saturday. 5.30pm kick off!

 

That's ten loyalty points now Gertcha, though the dreams of following Spurs across Europe in the UEFA Cup next season are fading fast. We simply haven't recovered in the league since the Old Trafford travesty.

 

Mind you, another couple of nice draws in the FA Cup, and you never know!!

Get through this, beat Forest and then hope Arsenal draw Chelsea and Spurs avoid United and we could be on for a semi final trip.

Mido should be making his debut for Spurs tomorrow, we can see what he's all about, it might be a bit too soon for Reid, but it would be welcome nonetheless.

And I am sure, for some St Albans fans, a discussion about things other than St Albans FC might be a welcome relief from discussing this season!

Reid and Mido were both superb on Saturday. Mido looked class from his first touch of the ball, and Andy Reid looks like he has a lot of talent, and was unfortunate not to get on the scoresheet himself when he hit the post in the second half.

 

Is Andy Reid cup-tied on Saturday, does anyone know?

Rumour told me Mido's a bit of an Anelka/Bellamy type character?

More Anelka than Bellamy, but yeah, that's pretty widely-known. He's played for about six clubs already and he's only 21.

 

Still, we've only got him on loan, and as long as he keeps playing like he did on Saturday, no problem. Any sign of trouble and we'll off-load him!

 

With Keane, Defoe and Kanoute all strikers of the highest quality, we're not exactly lacking in firepower!!

I can see Dalmat potential in Mido, but that said, the lad has got talent and he had some great tricks and touches. There is a bit of potential there.

 

To be fair we've got the makings of a good squad, just need a bit of form really.
