play offs

Sorry to sound dumb what is the score with the play offs in our league this year? Where do we need to finish - is it just one up and then the next four?

Top team will go up to Conference South, then teams finishing in 2nd-5th play off for second promotion place.

Question! What happens if the playoff winners are unable to meet the numerous criteria to get promoted, i.e. ground ownership/lease, grading etc? Or, worse still, what if none of the four teams in the playoffs can get promoted before they're even played for these reasons? Makes a bit of a mockery of the playoffs.

 

Common sense would dictate that the teams already there don't get relegated but that's complicated as you could have a team getting promoted out of the Southern League and one NOT getting promoted out of the Ryman League but which of the 3 teams doesn't get relegated as the two leagues (Southern and Ryman) are level?!

Would have thought the ground reg's wouldn't come into it as there would be a few years to sort that side of thigns out and I'm sure the financial side of things can be 'covered' by those that know how.

Erm if you dont meet the requirements you dont go up and as for which team dont cum down it will just be the team who finishes highest, i.e 3rd from bottom. for example what happened in the conference this season.

There is no guarantee that the second promotion spot would see you in the Conference South. With two also going up from the Southern Prem - the teams going up from the Ryman could be one of the three most northerly.

Yeah but they could still go into south and then some team from the south would go into the north, hence y we could be in southern prem next season.

what if slough won the playoffs? if we were to get into the conference south would our current status fit the criteria? we would probably facea serious problem if we were to go up, regarding the ground problem at least
